Remember- Everything Will Be Okay

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
—1 Peter 5:7

As the holiday season approaches, we often hear it referred to as "the most wonderful time of the year." Yet, for many of us, it can quickly become "the most stressful time of the year." The busyness, financial pressures, and high expectations can lead to anxiety and overwhelm. But, as Believers, we have the opportunity to exchange this Christmas panic for peace by turning to God's Word and His promises.

1. Don’t Forget to Look Up

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to focus on what truly matters this holiday season. Remind me that you know my every need, and every want, before I can even ask—and that you will always provide exactly what I need.

2. Turn Your Eyes Upon Him

Amidst the holiday rush, we often forget the true meaning of Christmas. Instead of being a time of busyness and stress, it's an opportunity to reflect on the greatest gift ever given to humanity—the gift of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Psalm 46:10 reminds us to "be still and know that I am God." In embracing the knowledge of God's love and deliverance, we can find a peace that transcends the world's understanding. As we trust God with our eternal life, we can also trust Him with our daily concerns and rest in His care.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to shift my focus from the busyness of the season to the true meaning of Christmas—Your gift of salvation. May I find rest and peace in Your presence.

3.  Prioritize Relationships that Matter

Christmas is not about tasks and obligations. Jesus taught us that the greatest commandment is to love God with all our hearts and to love others as ourselves. This reminds us of the importance of prioritizing relationships over productivity. Take a moment to consider whether the projects and to-do lists are more valuable than the people in your life. Choosing to invest time and love in those around you can bring a sense of peace and fulfillment.

Prayer: Lord, help me to prioritize my relationships during this season. May I choose love over tasks and spend quality time with those I care about.

4. Focus on the True Meaning of the Season

Christmas is a reminder of the incredible gift God has given us—the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ. As we celebrate this season, let's focus on what we can give to others in response to God's generosity. Giving doesn't always mean material possessions; it can be the gift of our time, a listening ear, a comforting smile, or a helping hand. By reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas and imitating God's love, we can experience a sense of peace and purpose.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the precious gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help me to reflect Your love by giving to others this Christmas season. May I find peace in sharing Your love with those around me.

Thank you for joining us for this Christmas devotion. We pray that you find peace this holiday season as you focus on what’s truly important. And remember—everything will be okay.
